An email asking for your ID

In a moment you will get a separate email from us asking you to upload your ID. That is the only thing we need from you right now - everything else, we will guide you through.

What happens next

A quick ID check

We run a short anti-money laundering check - a standard step we are required to do for every new client. Just upload a passport or driving licence when the email arrives; it usually clears within a day or two.

Your welcome portal opens

Once the check clears, your Karbon for Clients portal opens with a welcome checklist: what we need from you, when you will hear from us next, and what to expect.

We get you set up

Over the next couple of weeks we get everything in place, finishing with a short Teams call where we walk you through your new setup together and make sure you are comfortable.

Up and running

From the check clearing to going live is usually within four weeks. We will confirm the date of your first meeting with us as part of getting you set up.

Why do you need to see my ID?

It is a legal requirement. As a regulated firm we have to run a quick anti-money laundering check on every new client before we start. Your ID is stored securely and used only for that check.

Do I need to do anything right now?

Just keep an eye out for the ID email and upload your documents when it arrives. That is the only thing we need from you to get going - we will guide you through everything else.

What if I do not have a passport or driving licence?

No problem. Reply to the ID email and let us know - we can accept other forms of identification and will help you sort it.

How long until I am up and running?

From the moment your ID check clears it is usually within four weeks, and we will keep you updated at each step through your portal.

What's the Karbon for Clients portal?

It is your secure online hub with us - your welcome checklist, anything we need from you, and a place to see what is happening and message us. We will send you a link to set it up.

When will my first meeting be?

We will agree the date with you as part of getting set up, so it is booked in and you know exactly when we will next be talking.

Can I change my services later?

Absolutely. We are built to grow with you, so we can adjust what we do as your business changes - just say the word.
